In science, we have really jumped into our habitat unit. We enjoyed getting to dissect owl pellets and learning all about behavioral and physical adaptations of different animals. We're looking forward to next week when we get to use what we've learned to create our own creature!
In reading, we've gotten to practice our close reading skills to really dive into texts about different habitats.
In math, we've finished up fractions and we are back to multiplication, this time with double digits. Ask your child to show you the lattice method. It's pretty cool.
In writing, we are working in our fiction unit. Everyone has created characters and we are practicing writing about a character in an everyday situation. We're hoping to be able to write about an unbelievable situation soon.
We are pretty excited for field day next Tuesday afternoon, make sure you dress for it!
Have a great weekend and a wonderful Mother's Day!
