This is my 19th year teaching in Special Education. I taught for my first year in a third grade classroom in Missouri. Since then, I have been working here in Arlington Heights. I started off at South Middle School, but quickly realized that I belonged in an elementary school. I have been working in the Integrated Services program for the last 16 years. I feel very strongly that our program does amazing things for students by allowing them small group instruction as well as a lot of integration in a supportive, comfortable environment. I am very proud to be a part of this program.
I grew up in Arlington Heights and attended the public schools here in District 25. I went to Windsor Elementary, South Middle School, and Prospect High School.
I currently live in Palatine with my husband, Jay and my 2 year old daughter, Hazel.
I have really enjoyed teaching 3rd. It is such a transitional, growing year for kids and it is so much fun to see the changes that they go through. I am looking forward to a great year with our class!
